HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 90, No Ordinance Number90 ✓ ✓ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8-C OF THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES' CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 2, 191,.7, AND AMENDED ON DECEMBER 13, 1966, AND RECORDED IN ORDINANCE BOOK 15, PACE 111,.8 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 8-C of the Appointive Employees, Civil Service Ordinance, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 2, 1947, and amended on December 13, 1966, and recorded in Ordinance Book 15, page llh8, be, and the same is hereby further amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 8-C. There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the Cemetery Department and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under &,5 any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows: Position Foreman Laborers (3 positions) Base Hourly Rate $2.38 1.75 The Foreman shall be paid at the rate of $2.38 per hour for the first six months of employment and at the expiration of six months the rate of pay shall be increased to $2.43 per hour; such increase to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. Laborers shall he paid at the rate of $1.75 per hour for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $1.80 per hour; at the expiration of one year $1.85 per hour, and at the expiration of two years $1.90 per hour; such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and shall be retroactive to April 1, 1967. r�lrt a Zv .
