HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 899, Ordinance Number 69-2-175899/ I"", - ORDINANCE NO. 69-2-175 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF WENDELL BAILEY TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN PROPERTY AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF 14TH AND CLAY STREETS THEREIN, FOR THE SUM OF $229.54, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of Wendell Bailey in the amount og $229.54 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in certain property therein, be accepted, said property being described as follows: At the northeast corner of 14th Street and Clay Street, being 100 feet on north side of Clay Street and 165 feet on east side of 14th Street, known as 600-2-4-6-8-10-12-14 North 14th Street, and as shown on page 60 of Block Map Book No. 2 in the office of the City Engineer. Being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by City Treasurer's Tax Sale Deed dated January 8, 1969, recorded in Deed Book 505, page 488, McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTION 2. On payment of the sum of $229.54 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Wendell Bailey all right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quit- claim only, shall contain no warranty as to title, and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
