HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 89, No Ordinance Number��x _ _ ____ AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1967 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL BUILDING CODE RECOMMENDED BY THE AMERICAN INSURANCE ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, Section $2.080 of Kentucky Revised Statutes provides that the Legislative Bodies of cities of all classes shall have power and authority to adopt traffic, building, plumbing, electrical and other codes by reference, provided that at least five (5) days notice of the meeting at which same was adopted have been given in a newspaper published or of general circulation in said city, and WHEREAS, it is the desire, intent and purpose of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to adopt by reference the aforesaid code, and WHEREAS, the notice required by the above Statute Section was published in the Sun -Democrat, a newspaper published in and of general circulation in said city on March 20, 1967. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the 1967 Edition of the National Building Code recommended by the American Insurance Association is hereby adopted by reference, and is made a part of the public records of said City by this ordinance. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication.
