HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 888, Ordinance Number 69-1-169888 ORDINANCE NO. 69-1-169 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF DONALD JAMES TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN PROPERTY AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF 8TH AND CLAY STREETS THEREIN, FOR THE SUM OF $500.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of Donald James in the amount of $500.00 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in certain property therein, be accepted, said property being described as follows: Being at the northeast corner of 8th and Clay Streets, fronting 55 feet on the north side of Clay Street and running back 129 feet, more or less, on east side of 8th Street, and as shown on page 82 of Block Map Book No. 1 in the office of the City Engineer. Being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by City Treasurer's Tax Sale Deed dated January 16, 1969, of record in Deed Book 505, page 556, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. SECTION 2. On payment of the sum of $500.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Donald James all right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title, and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption .
