HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 886, Ordinance Number 69-1-168ORDINANCE NO. 69-1-168 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE EAST SIDE OF SOUTH 7TH STREET BETWEEN HUSBANDS STREET AND CALDWELL STREET, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on January 22, 1969, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE EAST SIDE OF SOUTH 7TH STREET BETWEEN HUSBANDS STREET AND CALDWELL STREET", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same hereby is, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Two-family Residential Zone to R-4 Multiple Dwelling Zone: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Husbands Street with the center line of South 7th Street; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line of Husbands Street a distance of 201.5 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of Husbands Street with the existing zone boundary line now running from Husbands Street to Caldwell Street; thence at right angles and in a northerly direction along and with the existing zone boundary line a distance of 421 feet to the center line of Caldwell Street; thence at right angles and in a westerly direction along and with the center line of Caldwell Street a distance of 201.5 feet to the center line of South 7th Street; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction along and with the center line of South 7th Street a distance of 421 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other sectiob, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. 887 SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
