HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 872, Ordinance Number 69-1-163872 j ORDINANCE NO. 69-1-163 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CAN-TEX INDUSTRIES TO FURNISH PIPE AND ACCESSORIES TO BE USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWERS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SUCH PIPE AND ACCESSORIES BE IY ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of Can -Tex Industries, to furnish the City with pipe and accessories to be used in the construction of sanitary sewers in the following approximate quantities -and under the=following terms and conditions: Quantity Item Price 768 ft. 12" Vitrified Clay Sewer Pipe $2.04 per ft 540 ft. 6" Vitrified Clay Sewer Pipe .67 per ft 18 ea. 12 x 6 Wyes 12.24 each 18 ea. 6" Curves 4.02 each 1 ea. 12" Stopper 2.04 each 1 ea. 10" Stopper 1.57 each 18 ea. 6" Stoppers .80 each Merchandise shall be f.o.b. job site and payable 2/ 10 days, 30 days net. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase of pipe and accessories as herein set out, and to purchase the approximate amount indicated, more or less, as will best meet the needs of the City in constructing said sanitary sewers. SECTION 2.
