HANNAN & ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE CODE ENFORCEMENT GRANT EXECUTION STAGE OF THE OAKLAWN NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute a contract with Edward T. Hannan & Associates, Inc. for engineering services for the Code Enforcement Grant Execution Stage of the Oaklawn Neighborhood Improvement program in the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 2. The contract shall provide for furnishing engineering services relating to streets, alleys, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and in part storm sewers within the Code Enforcement Area and approved Code Enforcement Plan, and said services shall include surveys, designs, working drawings, specifications, cost estimates, contract and bidding documents, advertising for bids, review of bids and recommendations for acceptance or rejection of bids, coordination of engineering services with other engineering personnel working within the project area and with utilities, obtaining written approvals required by city, state and federal agencies and obtaining necessary permits and licenses for site improvements, providing progress reports, sampling and testing of construction materials, inspecting the project periodically and providing a final inspection upon completion of site improvements, furnishing resident engineering and inspection of construction to assure compliance with plans and contract documents, and such other services as may be agreed upon between the Engineer and the City Manager. SECTION 3. Compensation for the engineering services shall be the standard percentages for engineering services based upon the cost of construction, together with additional sums for certain required tests, surveys, inspections, travel and extraordinary requirements and expenses, but the total compensation to be paid under this contract shall in no event exceed the total sum of $45,000.00. 871 SECTION 4. The contract shall be subject to standard terms and conditions, and all salaries shall be in accordance with the current and acceptable determination of prevailing salaries for technical positions for this locality. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
