HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 804, Ordinance Number 68-11-143804/ V ORDINANCE NO. 68-11-143 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY SOUTH 6TH, HUSBANDS, SOUTH 7TH AND CALDWELL STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of a portion of an alley in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, described as follows: Beginning at a point, said point being perpendicular to the line of South 7th Street, said point being 117.00 feet east of a point on the east right-of-way line of South 7th Street between Caldwell Street and Husbands Street, and being 115.50 feet north of the northeast' corner of the intersection of south 7th and Husbands Street; thence from said beginning point and in an easterly direction and continuing in a line perpendicular to South 7th Street 54.50 feet; thence at a right angle and in a north- erly direction 69.50 feet; thence at a right angle and in a westerly direction 11.05 feet; thence at a right angle and in a northerly direction 60.50 feet; thence at a right angle and in a westerly direction 43.45 feet; thence at a right angle and in a southerly direction 130.00 feet to the point of beginning. Being the same property known as Lot 25 in Bradford Square, which lot was described and dedicated in the plat of Bradford Square shown of record in Plat Book "G", page 358, McCracken county Court Clerk's Office. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute and prosecute, pursuant to Section 94.360 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
