HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 80, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE EXECUTION OF BOND BY THE CLERK OF THE POLICE COURT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, FIXING THE AMOUNT THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE PREMIUM THEREFOR WHEREAS, Section 89.4.90 of Kentucky Revised Statutes provides that "The board of commissioners shall require bonds with adequate surety, in such amounts as it may deem advisable, from any city employe whose duties, in the opinion of the board, require a bond for the faithful performance. Premiums on bonds may, in the discretion of the board of commissioners, be paid by the city", and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah deems it advisable to require that the Clerk of the Police Court of the City of Paducah execute a bond with adequate surety for the faithful performance and discharge of the duties of said office. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Clerk of the Police Court of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, shall execute bond to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, with adequate corporate surety in the amount og $5,000.00, conditioned that he or she will faithfully perform and discharge the duties of Clerk of the Police Court of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and that he or she will pay over to the persons entitled thereto all moneys that may come into his or her hands and under his or her control. SECTION 2.^ The premium on the bond required by Section 1 above shall he paid by the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 3.
