HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 767-A, Ordinance Number 68-11-128A767-A 0-11 ORDINANCE NO. 68-11-128A AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN LAND OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY TO THE URBAN RENEWAL AND COMMUNITY 4 I DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS on October 28, 1965, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, entered into an agreement with the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency of Paducah, Kentucky, in connection with Project No. KY. R-30, and WHEREAS in Section 3 of said Agreement it was provided that various properties owned by the City of Paducah and improvements thereon would be sold to the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency for their fair cash value of $171,000.00, said sum to be deposited by the Agency in the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency Local Contribution Account, and WHEREAS the City has heretofore conveyed all properties in said agreement except that area occupied by No. 1 Fire Station, for the total consideration of $98,000.00, and WHEREAS the City is now ready to convey and the Agency is ready to accept the conveyance of the No. 1 Fire Station and the parcel of land on which it is located for the remaining sum of $73,000.00, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah convey to the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency of Paducah, Kentucky, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed and authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said Agency conveying the following land owned by the City of Paducah, Kentucky: �_1 A parcel of land in Block No. 15, Division "A" Old Town. Beginning on Court Street 100 feet from the corner of Court and 4th Streets; thence toward 3rd Street with the south line of Court Street 73-1/4 feet; thence at right angles toward Washington Street 148-1/4 feet; thence at right angles toward said 4th Street 73-1/4 feet; thence at right angles 148-1/4 feet to the beginning. Being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah by Deed dated September 1, 1900, of record in Deed Book 65, page 459, McCracken County Court Clerk's office. 767-B Said deed of conveyance shall include only such warranty or warranties as may be permitted by law, and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 2.
