HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 750, Ordinance Number 68-9-122750 6" - ORDINANCE NO. 68-9-122 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY AT 6TH AND ROGERS STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on September 18, 1968, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY AT 6TH AND ROG ERS STREETS", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same hereby is, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone to B-1 Neighborhood Business Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of South 6th Street with the center line of Rogers Street (formerly known as Murray Avenue and also as Bockman Street); thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line of 6th Street a distance of 163 feet to a point; thence at right angles and in a westerly direction a distance of 203.25 feet to a point in the center line of a 14.5 foot alley; thence at right angles and in a northerly direction along and with the center line of said alley a distance of 163 feet to the center line of Rogers Street; thence at right angles and in an easterly direction along and with the center line of Rogers Street a distance of 203.25 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. 751 SECTION 5.
