HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 748, Ordinance Number 68-9-121Ll ORDINANCE No. 68-9-121 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF PARK AVENUE AND THOMPSON AVENUE, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on September 18, 1968, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF PARK AVENUE AND THOMPSON AVENUE", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same hereby is, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-2 One -Family Residential Zone to R-4 Multiple Dwelling Zone: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Park Avenue and Thompson Avenue; thence north with the center line of Thompson Avenue 192 feet to a point where the center line of Thompson Avenue intersects with the center line of an alley, extended; thence east along the center line of said alley, as extended, 178.5 feet; thence in a southerly direction parallel with the east line of Thompson Avenue a distance of 192 feet to the center line of Park Avenue; thence in a westerly direction with the center line of Park Avenue to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. 748 749 SECTION 5.
