HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 743, Ordinance Number 68-9-118743�/' ORDINANCE NO. 68-9-118 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ON BOTH SIDES OF JACKSON STREET EAST OF 28TH STREET, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE=1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on September 18, 1968, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON BOTH SIDES OF JACKSON STREET EAST OF 28TH STREET", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same hereby is, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-2 One -Family Residential Zone to B-1 Neighborhood Business Zone: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Jackson Street with the existing B-1 Zone line, which point is situated 230.75 feet, more or less, east of the intersection of Jackson Street and 25th Street; thence in a southerly direction along and with the said existing B-1 zone line to the center line of a 16.5 foot alley lying between Jackson Street and Ohio Street and 25th Street and 24th Street; thence in a westerly direction along and with the center line of said 16.5 foot alley to the point of intersection of said alley center line with the existing B-3 zone line, which point is situated 100 feet east of 28th Street; thence at right angles and in a northerly direction a distance of 200 feet, more or less, to the center line of Jackson Street; thence at right angles and in an easterly direction along and with the center line of Jackson Street a distance of 330 feet, more or less to the intersection of the center line of Jackson Street with the center line of 27th Street; thence at right angles and in a northerly direction along and with the center line of 27th Street 201 feet, more or less, to the intersection of the center line of 27th Street with the center line of a 16.5 foot alley lying between Jackson Street and Adams Street; thence at right angles and in an easterly direction along and with the center line of said alley to the point of intersection of said alley with the center line of 25th Street; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction along and with the center line of 25th Street to the point of intersection of said center line with the center line of Jackson Street; thence at right angles and in an easterly direction along and with the center line of Jackson Street to the point of beginning. 744 SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
