ORDINANCE NO. 68-9-116
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SALE OF LAND IN THE DOWNTOWN CIVIC CENTER PROJECT
KY R-30, BETWEEN THE URBAN RENEWAL AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
me OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE USE
AND BENEFIT OF THE PADUCAH WATER WORKS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they hereby
are, authorized and directed to execute the contract between the
Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency of Paducah, Kentucky,
and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the use and benefit of Paducah
Water Works, for the sale of land in the Downtown Civic Center Project
Ky R-30, in the exact form of the proposed contract for such purpose
as was received and filed by this Board on this date.
SECTION 2. The authority granted by this ordinance shall in
no way obligate the City of Paducah, Kentucky to pay the agreed pur-
chase price in said contract for said land in the sum of $15,000.00
from the City's General Funds, and it is understood that said sum
must be paid by the Paducah Water Works or from a source other than
the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
