AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN INCREASE IN THE WATER RATES AND MINIMUM
CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE TO ALL CUSTOMERS OF THE PADUCAH WATER WORKS
BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, AND FIXING THE WATER RATES AND MINIMUM CHARGES FOR SUCH SERVICES
AND PROVIDING THAT NOTHING IN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO AFFECT
THE EXISTING CONTRACTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND ANY WATER DISTRICT
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED AND PERMITTED IN SAID CONTRACTS; AND FURTHER PROVIDING
FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
WITH THIS ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the recommendation
of the Commissioners of the Paducah Water Works to increase the water
rates and minimum charges for water service to all customers both
inside and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky and that the City approve and ratify the following rates
and minimum charges to all customers of water both inside and outside
the corporate limits, to -wit:

Wholesale Water Contracts
The wholesale rate to water districts and water companies outside
the City of Paducah for resale is $.29325.
Fire Mains And
Fire Protection Service Rates
Inside The City of Paducah
The charge to the City of Paducah for providing fire hydrants and
adequate mains for fire protection shall be 1.5 mills per diameter
inch per linear foot of mains now installed inside the City Limits
or which may be hereafter installed inside the City Limits or which
are in areas that are hereafter annexed by the City of Paducah.
Such rates and minimum charges to become effective with all
readings and billings subsequent to the passage of this ordinance.
SECTION 2. Nothing in this ordinance shall be construed to
affect any contract between the City of Paducah and any water district
relative to the amount and method of charging said water district for
water furnished by the Paducah water Works except insofar as the water

rate increase will, pursuant to s6id contract or contracts, increase
the amount to be paid by said district.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
