HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 670, Ordinance Number 68-7-88670 ORDINANCE NO. 68-7-88 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE OPERATION OF A MUNICIPAL COLLEGE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 6, 1939, AND AMENDED ON SEPTEMBER 20, 1966 WHEREAS a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Community College (formerly Paducah Junior College) has been created by the death of W. A. Conway, and it being necessary to fill said vacancy, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 6, 1939, and amended on Septe mber 20, 1966, be amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. That E. W. Whiteside be appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Community College to fill the vacancy 7 caused by the death of W. A. Conway, so that said Board of Trustees (appointed by the City) as now constituted shall be composed of John G. Russell, Brady M. Stewart, T. S. Waller, Marshall E. Nemer, Dr. Leon Higdon, Howard Z. Gray, Ed Trevathan, William A. Feiler, Beasley Vaughn, Jack Rottgering, George Crounse and E. W. Whiteside. Said Board of Trustees shall control the municipal college in the City of Paducah which has been established pursuant to the provisions of KRS 165.160 to 165.200, and are to have all the powers given to them pursuant to the provisions of said statutes."
