HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 656, Ordinance Number 68-7-85656/ Y ORDINANCE NO 68-7-85 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ON BROADWAY BETWEEN 19TH AND 21ST STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 WO SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That resolutions adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on July 3, 1968 entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON BROADWAY BETWEEN 19TH AND 21ST STREETS" and "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF BROADWAY BETWEEN 19TH AND 20TH STREETS", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification changes and the map amendments proposed in said resolutions be, and the same hereby are, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby changed from R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone to B-1 Neighborhood Business Zone: Tract 1. Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Broadway with the center line of 21st Street; thence in an easterly, direction along and with the center line of Broadway a distance of 410 feet to the intersection of the center line of Broadway with the center line of 20th Street; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction along and with the center line of 20th Street a distance of 206.25 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of 20th Street with the center line of a 16 foot alley; thence at right angles and in a westerly direction along and with the center line of said alley a distance of 410 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of said alley with the center line of 21st Street; thence at right angles along and with the center line of 21st Street a distance of 206.25 feet to the point of beginning. Tract 2. Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of Broadway with the center line of 20th Street; thence in a north- erly direction along and with the center line of 20th Street a distance of 205.125 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of 20th Street with the center line of a 14.75 foot alley; thence at right angles and in an easterly direction along and with the center line of said alley 401.58 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of said alley with the 657 center line of 19th Street; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction along and with the center line of 19th Street a distance of 205.125 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of 19th Street with the center line of Broadway; thence at right angles and in a westerly direction along and with the center line of Broadway a distance of 401.58 feet to the point of beginning. Tract 3. Beginning at the intersection of the center line of 20th Street with the center line of Broadway; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line of Broadway a distance of 370 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of Broadway with the center line of 19th Street; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction along and with the center line of 19th Street a distance of 206.25 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of 19th Street with the center line of a 16 foot alley; thence at right angles and in a westerly direction along and with the center line of said alley a distance of 370 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of said alley with the center line of 20th Street; thence at right angles and in a northerly direction along and with the center line of 20th Street a distance of 206.25 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
