HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 652, Ordinance Number 68-7-82652 ORDINANCE NO. 68-7-82 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THEEMPLOYMENT, TRAINING AND SCREENING OF PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; ESTABLISHING QUALIFICATIONS OF SUCH PERSONS; PROVIDING FOR THE PROMULGATION OF RULES AND REGULATIONS WITH RESPECT THERETO; FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO SUCH PERSONS DURING THE PERIOD THEY ARE SUBJECT TO THE TERMS HEREOF AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE'v7ITH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON APRIL 27, 1962 AND AMENDED ON DECEMBER 13, 1966 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 5 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on April 27, 1962 and amended on December 13, 1966, be, and the same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 5. Each person employed as an Applicant -Candidate for employment as a fireman shall be paid at the rate of $375.00 per month at the same time other city salaries are paid." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption, and the salary increases provided for herein shall be retroactive to July 1, 1968.
