HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 644, Ordinance Number 68-6-79644 ORDINANCE NO. 68-6-79 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF BROADWAY BETWEEN 20TH AND 21ST STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on June 19, 1968 entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF BROADWAY BETWEEN 20TH AND 21ST STREETS" be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amend- ment proposed in said resolution be, and the same hereby is, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby changed from R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone to B-1 Neighborhood Business Zone: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Broadway with the center line of 20th Street; thence in a westerly direction along and with the center line of Broadway a distance of 413 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of Broadway with the center line of 21st Street; thence at right angles in a northerly direction along and with the center line of 21st Street a distance of 198.75 feet to the point of inter- section of the center line of 21st Street with the center line of a 25.5 foot alley; thence at right angles and in an easterly direction along and with the center line of said alley a distance of 413 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of said alley with the center line of 20th Street; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction along and with the center line of 20th Street a distance of 198.75 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. 645 SECTION 5.
