HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 623, Ordinance Number 68-5-72623/ ORDINANCE NO. 68-5-72 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING TWO ALLEYS IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY 25TH STREET, MASON STREET, PARK AVENUE, 24TH STREET AND LaCLEDE AVENUE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY" SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of the following described alleys in Block 3' of wade's Parkview Addition: Said alleys being located in Block 3 of Wade's Parkview Addition, as shown by plat of record in Plat Book "G" page 16, in McCracken County Court Clerk's office, and were dedicated in the Caldwell=Mallory Plat of record in Plat Book "A", pages 288-289, in said clerk's office, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the east line of North 25th Street a distance of 167.3 feet in a southerly direction from the southeast intersection of 25th Street and Mason Street, said distance being measured on the arc of the curve; thence with the northerly line of said alley and in an easterly direction a distance of 108 feet, more or less to the westerly line of an alley that runs in a northerly and southerly direction from Park Avenue to Laclede Avenue, as shown on the above Caldwell -Mallory Plat; thence in a northerly direction with the west line of said alley a distance of 167.82 feet to the southerly line of Mason Street (Park Avenue); thence in an easterly direction with the southerly line of Mason Street 22.62 feet; thence in a southerly direction with the easterly line of said dedicated alley a distance of 359.23 feet to the northerly line of LaClede Avenue; thence in a westerly direction with the northerly line of LaClede Avenue 22.62 feet; thence in a northerly direction with the westerly line of said dedicated alley a distance of 170.85 feet to the southerly line of said dedicated alley running in an easterly and westerly direction between LaClede Avenue and Park Avenue as shown on the above Caldwell -Mallory Plat; thence with the southerly line of said alley a distance of 103.5 feet, more or less, to the easterly line of 25th Street; thence with the easterly line of 25th Street 20.6 feet in a northerly direction to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, directed and empowered to institute and prosecute, pursuant to Section 94.360 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alleys described in Section 1 hereof.
