HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 609, No Resolution Number6094 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH NEW PARTS FOR REPAIR OF AN HD5 DOZER BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to advertise for bids for furnishing the City of Paducah with new parts for repair of an HD5 Dozer with bids to be submitted at the lowest cash price per unit, including any and all applicable taxes, in accordance with the terms and specifications listed herein. QUANTITY ITEM NUMBER DESCRIPTION 8 each 622392 Bottom roller assembly (Heavy Duty) 2 each 622613 Top Roller assembly (complete) 2 each 647050 33 link rail assembly 2 each 629590 Sprocket assembly (complete) 4 each 083213 Seal kit - idler Each bidder should state what allowance will be given, if any, for trade-in of used parts which will be replaced by new parts. Each bidder must guarantee and be able to furnish immediate delivery of the parts. Each bidder must bid on each and every item, and all incomplete bids will be rejected. The lowest overall bid will be accepted unless all bids are rejected. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of request for bids in the Sun -Democrat as provided for by law. ,&11 bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest and best overall bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the sight to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said products until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract. SECTION 3.
