HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 600, Ordinance Number 68-5-65600 /' ORDINANCE NO. 68-5-65 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF EMULSIFIED ASPHALT COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF RS -2 EMULSIFIED ASPHALT REQUIRED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH DURING THE YEAR 1968; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID MATERIAL; AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Emulsified Asphalt Company for the sale to the City of all RS -2 emulsified asphalt required by the City of Paducah during the year 1968, be accepted, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase upon the order of said City all of such asphalt to be used during 1968 at the following price: Price per gallon delivered by transport truck $0.1225. Discount 1% 10 days. Bid price to be f.o.b. any delivery point in the City as may be designated by the City of Paducah. Said contract shall also contain all the terms, conditions and specifications contained in a Resolution authorizing the advertisement for bids which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of said City on April 23, 1968, and as contained in the bid submitted by Emulsified Asphalt Co. dated May 10, 1968. A guarantee shall be provided against advance in the market price and a guarantee shall be provided for reduction in price in the event of a decrease in the market price, and said Company shall post a performance bond in the sum of $2,500.00 guaranteeing specifications and delivery. SECTION 2.
