HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 598, Ordinance Number 68-5-64598 k - ORDINANCE NO. 68-5-64 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF DELTA REFINING COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF RC -250 AND MC -800 LIQUID ASPHALT REQUIRED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH DURING THE YEAR 1968; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SUCH MATERIAL; AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE}: SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Delta Refining Company for the sale to the City of Paducah of all RC -250 and MC -800 liquid asphalt required by the City of Paducah during the year 1968 be accepted, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase upon the order of said City all of such asphalt as may be used during 1968 at the following prices: RC -250 - $0.1210 per gallon MC -800 - $0.1210 per gallon Said prices are for product to be delivered into city storage tank, and if the contractor is required to furnish a storage tank for the City of Paducah, delivery prices will be as follows: RC -250 - $0.1760 per gallon MC -800 - $0.1760 per gallon Terms on all quoted prices: Net 30 days, and said prices are for minimum truck loads of 5,000' gallons each Bid price to be f.o.b. any delivery point in the City as may be designated by the City of Paducah. Said contract shall also contain all the terms, conditions and specifications contained in a Resolution authorizing the ad- vertisement for bids which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of said City on April 23, 1968, and as contained in the bid submitted by Delta Refining Company dated May 6, 1968. A guarantee shall be provided against advance in the market price and a guarantee shall be provided for reduction in price in the event of a decrease in the market price, and said Company shall post a performance bond in the sum of $2,500.00 guaranteeing specifications and delivery, said bond to be posted at or before the time of the first delivery under this contract. 599 SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in whiich it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
