ORDINANCE NO. 68-5-57
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF ARTHUR 0. CHILDERS AND WIFE,
GENEVA P. CHILDERS, TO PURCHASE LOT 16, BLOCK 6 IN O'BRYANS ADDITION
IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, OWNED BY THE CITY, FOR THE SUM OF
$250.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED
OF CONVEYANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Arthur 0. Childers and wife, Geneva
P. Childers, in the amount of $250.00 to purchase certain property
owned by the City, being Lot 16, Block 6, O'Bryans Addition, be
accepted, said property being described as follows:
Lot 16 in Block 6 of O'Bryans Addition, fronting
40 feet on north side of 28th Street and being
160 feet east of Virginia Street.
Being the same property conveyed to City of Paducah,
Kentucky, by R. H. Overstreet, Acting Treasurer, by deed
dated May 8, 1968, and of record in Deed Book
page in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon payment of the sum of $250.00 to the City
Treasurer by the aforesaid Arthur 0. Childers and wife, Geneva P.
Childers, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to convey to them in survivorship the property described in Section 1
hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quit -claim only, shall
contain no warranty as to title, and shall be subject to any state of
facts that might be shown by an accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
