HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 554, Ordinance Number 68-4-43ORDINANCE NO. 68-4-43 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR FIRE LIMITS AND ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPMENT OF BUILDINGS, CREATING THE OFFICE OF BUILDING INSPECTOR, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR No VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF, FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON AUGUST 18, 1919 AND LAST AMENDED MAY 2, 1941 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION I. That an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on August 18, 1919, and -last amended on May 2, 1941, be, and the same is hereby, further amended to read as follows: "SECTION 1. FIRE LIMITS. The following shall be and are hereby declared to be the fire limits: All that portion of the City of Paducah lying and being in an area 200 feet beyond the exterior boundary of the following described area: Beginning at the low water mark of the Ohio River at the south line of Clark Street, running thence west along the south line of Clark Street to the west line of 7th Street; thence north and along the west line of 7th Street to the north line of Jefferson Street; thence east and along the north Line of Jefferson Street to the low water mark of the Ohio River; thence south along the low water mark of the Ohio River to the south line of Clark Street, the point of beginning. There is excluded from the 200 foot buffer zone around the described area that portion which would be in the Ohio River and which lies to the east of said area. " SECTION 2.
