AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE AMOUNTS TO BE CHARGED FOR
COI:NECTING TO CITY SAFITARY SEVERS CONSTRUCTED IN THE TERRITORIES
INCLUDED IN THE AREAS COVERED BY SEIVERAGE EXTENSIONS CONTRACT B-1966,
SAID TERRITORIES BEINO AN AREA DESIGNATED AS AREA 1 WHICH INCLUDES
SANDERS SUBDIVISION, AND PROPERTIES ABUTTING ON BLANDVILLE ROAD
FROM ORD STREET TO 40TH STREET, ON CARDINAL LANE FROM BLANDVILLE
ROAD TO MANHOLE ($, AND ON 40TH STREET FROM BLANDVILLE ROAD TO
MANHOLE 65, AND AN AREA DESIGNATED AS AREA 2 WHICH INCLUDES CERTAIN
PROPERTY ABUTTING ON TRIMBLE STREET; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
CONNECTION PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE CONNECTION
CHARnES; AND PROVIDINn PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS
HEREOF
WHEREAS, b�, ordinance adopted by the Board of -Commissioners
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky on March 22, 1966, and of record in
Ordinance Book 15, page 886 in the City Clerk's office, a contract
was entered into by and between said City and -E. A. Sullivan, Inc.
for the construction of sanitary sewers in the designated areas and
ahuttine the streets -contained in the title hereof, said contract
beinp known as Contract B-196(, and
':1HEREAS, said construction work is now nearing its completion
and it is desired to establish the amounts to be charged for connections
to the sanitary sewers.in said areas, and
WHEREAS, the Consultinr Enrrineers for said project, Edward T.
Hannan and Associates, Inc. did, on January 26, 1967, advise the Board
of Commissioners as to the amounts to be properly charped for said
connections in said areas and territories based upon the construction
cost and num1rer of present and future connections, and said areas and
territories 1 -einem designated h?, said Engineers as follows:
Area 1 - Sanders Subdivision, Blandville Road (43rd Street to
1,Oth Street), Cardinal Lane (Blandville Road to Manhole 68)
and 1.0th Street (Blandville Road to Manhole 65).
Area 2 - Trim -,le Street, 30th to 32nd Streets.
Id01 THEREFOR, RE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
pe I OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the followinu charges are hereby established
to he clamed for connectinr� to City sanitary sewers in the followinz
areas and territories:
',rea 1. Sanders Subdivision, Bland••,ille Road (43rd Street
to 11.0th Street), Cardinal Lane (Flandville Road
to Fanhole (N and 10th Street (Flandvil.le Road
to ?�'anhole ( r, ) $620.00
Area 2. Trimrle Street, 03th to 32nd Streets $545.00
The amounts so fired shall loe paid to the City Treasurer.
SECTION 2. No connection to said sanitary sewer systems shall
l -e made 1•y anv property owner or other person, .firm or corporation except
under permit for sunk connection issued by the Director of Public
forks of said City.
SECTION 3. The Director of Public forks shall not issue the
connection permit set out in Section 2 hereof until he has received
evidence that the proper connection fee has been paid to the City
Treasurer.
SECTION L. It shall be unlawful for anv person, firm or
corporation to rake a connection to anv sanitary sewer constructed
in the above described territories without havinm paid the proper
fee as set out herein and obtained the proper permit as set out herein,
and upon co miction shall re fined not less than 150.00 nor more
than 2'100.00 for each pffense, and a separate offense shall be deemed
committed upon each day durinc_ or on which a -iolation occurs or
continues.
SECTION r. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTIOV F. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
