HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 521, Ordinance Number 68-3-33521 ORDINANCE NO. 68-3-33 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF 8TH AND HARRISON STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on March 6, 1968 entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF 8TH AND HARRISON STREETS", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amend- ment proposed in said resolution be, and the same hereby is, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-4 Multiple Dwelling Zone to B-4 Commercial Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of Harrison Street with the center line of 8th Street; thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line of 8th Street a distance of 212.875 feet to the center line of a 13.25 foot alley; thence in a westerly direction along and with the center line of said alley a distance of 203.25 feet to a point; thence at right angles and in a northerly direction a distance of 212.875 feet to a point in the center line of Harrison Street; thence at right angles and in an easterly direction along and with the center line of Harrison Street a distance of 203.25 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance -1961 and the Maps referred to in Section 14 thereof, be, and they are hereby, amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the changes provided for in Section 3 hereof. SECTION 5. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragra}h and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
