HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 502, Ordinance Number 68-3-27502 ORDINANCE No. 68-3-27 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF $2,582.19 TO ALLAN RHODES, INC., TO COMPENSATE FOR DAMAGE TO POLICE CARS NOS. 1, 2, 4, 5 AND 10 AUTHORIZED TO BE TRADED TO SAID ALLAN RHODES, INC. UPON NEW MOTOR VEHICLES, BY ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON OCTOBER 24, 1967 WHEREAS, on October 24, 1967 the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, adopted an ordinance accepting the bid of Allan Thodes, Inc. for the sale to the City of nine (9) 1968 Ford Custom Four -Door Sedan automobiles for use in the Police Department of said City in the amount of $30,151.66, less $20,352.66 for trade-in of nine (9) police cars Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 22 and 29, and WHEREAS, subsequent to said time and prior to the delivery of said new automobiles, police cars Nos. 1, 2, 4, 5, and 10 were damaged considerably while used by the Police Department of the City through no fault of Allan Rhodes, Inc. and prior to delivery of same, and WHEREAS, it has been determined and is now determined by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah that the sum of $2,582.19 is a fair estimate of the damage of said cars, and that said amount should be paid to Allan Rhodes, Inc. to compensate for such damages. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby, directed to pay the sum of $2,582.19 to Allan Rhodes, Inc. to compensate for damages to police vehicles Nos. 1, 2, 4, 5 and 16. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
