HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 499, Ordinance Number 68-2-26499 i / J 1 C: 77- 05 7 �/ G ORDINANCE NO. 68-2-26 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH ONE-WAY STREETS, LIMITING THE USE THEREOF, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON JUNE 3, 1952 AND AMENDED ON NOVEMBER 23, 1954 WHEREAS, sewer construction in the 1100 block on Broadway has created a temporary problem in the movement of east -west traffic to and from the central business area of the City of Paducah, and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah desires to alleviate the temporary problem, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on June 3, 1952, and amended on November 23, 1954, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. The following streets or portions of streets are hereby declared to be one-way streets, and all vehicular traffic using said streets shall proceed in the direction hereinafter indicated: (a) Broadway between 17th Street, also known as Fountain Avenue, and 1st Street shall be limited to vehicular traffic traveling east. (b) 1st Street between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue shall be limited to vehicular traffic traveling south. (c) 1st Street between Broadway and Jefferson Street shall be limited to vehicular traffic traveling north. (d) Jefferson Street between 1st Street and 9th Street, shall be limited to vehicular traffic traveling west". SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. ■ 500 SECTION 3.
