ORDINANCE NO. 68-2-22
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE TYLER
PARK INDUSTRIAL AREA IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND DESCRIBING
SAID STREETS AND ALLEYS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby
authorize the closing of the following described streets and alleys
in the Tyler Park Industrial Area in said Cuty:
1. All of Leiberman Street extending from the north
line of Division (Beltline) Street to the south
line of Gilson Street;
2. All of Main Street extending from the north line
of Division Street (Beltline) to the south line
of Gilson Street;
3. All of Sowell Street extending from the east line
of Tully Street to the west line of Bethel Street;
4. The 15 foot alley in Block 4 of the Gilson, Rock
and Tully Addition extending from the north line
of Sowell Street to the south line of Gilson Street;
5. The 15 _foot alley in Block 5 of the Gilson, Rock
and Tully Addition extending from the north line
of Division (Beltline) Street to the south line
of Sowell Street;
6. The 15 foot alley in Block 2 of the Gilson, Rock
and Tully Addition extending from the east line
of Leiberman Street to the west line of Main Street;
7. The 15 foot alley in Block 2 of the Gilson, Rock
and Tully Addition extending from the east line
of Leiberman Street to the west line of Block 10
in the Thurman, Hughes, Herzog & Bethel Addition;
8. The alley parallel to, and between Main Street and
Leiberman Street extending northwardly from the
north line of Sowell Street to the south line of
another alley approximately 157 feet south of the
south line of Gilson Street, said alley being 16.8
feet wide at its south end and 34 feet, more or less,
wide at its north end;
9. The 15 foot alley in Block 1 of the Gilson, Rock and
Tully Addition extending from the east line of Leiberman
Street to the west line of Block 7 in the Thurman,
Hughes, Herzog and Bethel Addition;
10. The alley parallel to, and between Leiberman Street
and Main Street extending from the north line of
Division (Beltline) Street to the south line of
Sowell Street;
11. The 15 foot alley in Block 9 of the Thurman, Hughes,
Herzog & Bethel Addition extending from the east line
of Main Street to the west line of Bethel Street;

12. The 15 foot alley in Block 9 of the Thurman, Hughes,
Herzog & Bethel Addition extending from the north
line of Sowell Street to the south line of another
15 foot alley in said block; and
13. The 15 foot alley in Block 8 of the Thurman, Hughes,
Herzog & Bethel Addition extending from the north
line of Division (Beltline) Street to the south
line of Sowell Street.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, directed and empowered
to institute and prosecute, pursuant to Section 94.360 of the Kentucky
Revised Statutes, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a
judgment ordering the closing of the streets and alleys described
in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
