ORDINANCE NO. 68-2-18
AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO ESTABLISH A ROAD BLOCK
FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING MONEY OR TO SOLICIT MONEY FROM
OCCUPANTS OF VEHICLES IN A LINE OF TRAFFIC, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY
FOR VIOLATION THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF. THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, whether
acting individually or in a group, and whether acting for him or
herself, or for any organization, association or corporation, to
block any road or street in the City of Paducah, or to do any act
designed to stop, slow or impede the movement of vehicular traffic
for the purpose of soliciting money, or to solicit money from occupants
of vehicles in a line of traffic.
SECTION 2. Any person who shall be adjudged guilty of the
violation of this ordinance, or who shall be found guilty of aiding
and abetting in the violation of this ordinance as a principal, an
accessory or a conspirator shall be fined not less than $5.00 nor
more than $50.00 for the first offense, and for each subsequent
conviction shall be fined not less than $25.00 nor more than $100.00.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
