ORDINANCE NO. 68-2-17
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN LAND FROM T. D.
WALTERS AND HIS WIFE, VIRGINIA WALTERS, FIXING THE PURCHASE PRICE OF
SAME, AND PROVIDING FOR THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS OF SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky purchase front T. D.
Walters and his wife, Vriginia Walters the following described land
in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the north line of Broadway
350 feet west from the northwest corner of the
intersection of Broadway and 7th Street; thence
west along the north line of Broadway 39 feet 11,;
inches; thence at right angles north 165 feet; thence
at right angles east 39 feet 1� inches; thence at
right angles south 165 feet to the point of beginning
on the north line of Broadway.
Being the same property conveyed to the first parties
by deed dated March 29, 1947, of record in Deed Book
255, page 282, McCracken County Court Clerk's office
The purchase price to be paid for the same shall be the sum of
$32,500.00, and -upon receipt of a general warranty deed conveying said
land to the City of Paducah, and approved by the Corporation Counsel,
the City Treasurer is authorized and directed to.pay the said T. D.
Walters and his wife, Virginia Walters the sum of $32,500.00.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on.file
for public inspection for a period of at least one (1) week in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and
if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
