HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 452, No Resolution Number-4 A RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION AND MEMORY OF CITY COMMISSIONER WILLIAM E. FELLERS WHEREAS it was the laudable ambition of William E. Fellers to serve his fellow citizens of Paducah as one of their City Commissioners; and WHEREAS he was elected to this office by thousands of Paducah people who respected and esteemed his high qualities of mind and heart; and WHEREAS he was prevented from serving his term because of illness and death; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: That in the death of City Commissioner William E. Fellers there has been taken from our midst a member of this Board of Commissioners whose sound judgment and sagacious counsel would have been of incalculable value both to the Commission and the entire community. City Commissioner William E. Fellers was a man of honor and integrity, keenly interested in governmental affairs, and sincerely dedicated to the welfare of his fellowmen. His death is deeply regretted, and his memory will live continuously in the hearts of all who knew him. Be it further resolved that the adoption of this Resolution be made a part of the official business of this meeting, and that a copy of the Resolution be delivered in person by a member of the Commission to the next of kin.
