HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 39, No Ordinance Number39 k-1111--, F/ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 12 AND 13 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO TRAFFIC AND REGULATING USE OF PUBLIC STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH; DEFINING AND ESTABLISHING PARKING NIETER ZONES AND REGULATING AND CONTROLLING AND PROVIDING FOR INSPECTION OF THE TIPIE PARKING OF VEHICLES THEREIN BY THE USE OF PARKING METERS; PRESCRIBING LIMITS OF TIME FOR PARKING IN PARKING PIETER ZONES; AND PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT OF THIS ORDINANCE AND PUNISHMENT FOR ITS VIOLATION", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COi;MISSIONERS ON JULY 9, 19146 AND RECORDED IN ORDINANCE BOOK 10, PAnE 1617 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Sections 12 and 13 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commission- ers on July 9, 194(, and recorded in Ordinance Book 10, page 1417, be and they are hereby amended and reordained so that said sections as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 12. The proceeds -derived from the use of such parking meters or other similar mechanical devices, shall be used: First, for the purpose of the acquisition, establishment, erection, maintenance and operation of the system, second, for the purpose of making the s,,stem effective: and third, for the expenses incurred by and throughout the city in the regulation and limitation of vehicular parkin-, traffic relating to parkin7, traffic safety, devices, signs, signals, markings, polici.nr-, li-hts, traffic sur-eys and safety programs. "SECTION 13. It shallbe the duty of the City M-anager to desig- nate some person or persons to make regular collections of the money deposited in said parking meters, and delivering the money to the City Treasurer. Such person or pserons making such collections shall l•e londed in the sum of One Thousand ($1,000-.00) Dollars to insure the faithful. performance of his or their duties." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in No conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
