HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 295, No Ordinance Number295 / AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY IN THE AREA BETWEEN PALMER AND SOWELL STREETS AND BETWEEN A 20 FOOT ALLEY AND HERZOG STREET (CLOSED) BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKYY SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning - Commission on September 6, 1967, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY IN THE AREA BETWEEN PALMER AND SOWELL STREETS AND BETWEEN A 20 FOOT ALLEY AND HERZOG STREET (CLOSED)", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from B-4 Commercial Zone to R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the north line of Palmer Street with the west line of a 10 foot alley abutting the I.C.R.R. right-of-way; thence in a northerly direction along and with the west line of said alley a distance of 472.26 feet to a point in the south line of Sowell Street; thence in a westerly direction along and with the south line of Sowell Street a distance of 131.4 feet to a point in the center line of Herzog Street, which street is now closed; thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line of said Herzog Street a distance of 470 feet to a point in the north line of Palmer Street; thence in an easterly direction along and with the north line of Palmer Street a distance of 175.2 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 3. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance -1961 and the Maps referred to in Section 14 thereof, be, and they are hereby, amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the change provided for in Section 2 hereof. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section,paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5.
