HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 294, No Ordinance Number2 V AN ORDINANCE DECLARING A PORTION OF AFTON AVENUE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, A ONE-WAY STREET BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. ON SCHOOL DAYS, LIMITING THE USE THEREOF, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Afton Avenue from North Sycamore Drive on the west to Friedman Lane on the east is hereby declared to be a one-way street between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. on school days, and all vehicular traffic using said street shall proceed only in a direction from west to east during said times. SECTION 2. No vehicle shall be operated or parked on said portion of Afton Avenue and designated as a one-way street in a direction other than the direction authorized in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. Any person, firm, company or corporation violating any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than $2.00 nor more than $50.00, and each violation shall be considered a separate offense. SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after 4:00 o'clock A.M., C.D.T., September 18, 1967.
