HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 269, No Ordinance Number269 V/ AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF SOUTH 16TH STREET, SOUTH OF KENTUCKY AVENUE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted'by'the-Paducah Planning Commission on August 2, 1967, entitled "A .RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING' -THE.. FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF SOUTH 16TH STREET, SOUTH OF KENTUCKY AVENUE", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone to B-3 General Business Zone: Beginning at a point in the center line of 16th Street 173.25 feet south of the intersection of the center line of 16th Street with the south line of Kentucky Avenue; thence in a westerly direction and parallel to Kentucky Avenue, along and with the north line of a 13.25 foot alley a distance of 141 feet to a point in said alley; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction and parallel to 16th Street a distance of 605.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of Clark Street; thence in a westerly direction along and with the center line of Clark Street to the point of intersection.of the center line of Clark Street with the center line of Short 16th Street; thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line of Short 16th Street a distance of 415 feet, more or less to the center line of a 20 foot alley; thence' with the center line of said alley in a northeasterly direction a distance of 239 feet, more or less to the center line of 16th Street; thence in a northerly direction along and with the center line of 16th Street to the point of beginning. SECTION 3. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance -1961 and the Maps referred to in Section 14 thereof, be, and they are hereby, amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the change provided for in Section 2, hereof. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5.
