HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 208, No Ordinance Number208 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE TYLER PARK INDUSTRIAL AREA IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND DESCRIBING SAID STREETS AND ALLEYS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of the following described streets and alleys in the Tyler Park Industrial Area in said City: (1) That portion of.Sowell Street extending from the east line of Locust Street to the west line of Tully Street. (2) That portion of Rock Street extending from the south line of Gilson Street southerly across Sowell Street to its present end about 100 feet south of Sowell Street. (3) The 16 foot alley extending from the south line of Gilson Street to the north line of Sowell Street, and situated between Locust Street and Rock Street. (4) The 16 foot alley extending from the south line of Gilson Street to the north line of Sowell Street, and situated between Rock Street and Tully Street. (5) The 16 foot alley in Block 11 of the Sildon, Rock and Tully Addition extending southerly from Sowell Street about 100 feet, and situated between Locust Street and Rock Street. (6) The 10 foot alley extending from the west line of Rock Street westerly about 142 feet to the line of the last mentioned alley, and situated about 90 feet south of Sowell Street. (7) The 16 foot alley in Block 6 of the Gilson, Rock and Tully Addition extending southerly from Sowell Street about 100 feet, and situated between Rock Street and Tully Street. (8) The 10 foot alley extending from the west line of Tully Street westerly about 142 feet to the line of the last mentioned alley, and situated about 90 feet south of Sowell Street. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute and prosecute, pursuant to Section 94.360 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, an action in the rAcCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the streets and alleys described in Section 1 hereof.
