HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 203, No Ordinance Number203 v L.- Y AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RULES FOR THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FIXING THE TIME FOR HOLDING REGULAR MEETINGS OF SAID BOARD, AND REPEALING ALL RULES AND ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED ON DECEMBER 4, 1951, AND AMENDED ON AUGUST 9, 1966 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 12 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 4, 1951, and amended on August 9, 1966, be, and the same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 12. The Regular Meetings of the Board of Commissioners shall be held at 7:30 P.M. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, except when such meetings will fall on a legal holiday, then the Regular Meeting of said Board will be held on the following day at the same hour. Special or called meetings may be held upon the request of the Mayor or two members of the Board of Commissioners if written notice thereof is delivered to each member or to his or her residence or business address twenty-four hours prior to the time that such meeting is to be held. Provided, however, a special or called meeting may be held at any date and hour without written notice provided the Mayor and all members of the Board of Commissioners are present at such meeting. Executed or accepted notices shall be filed with the City Clerk and spread upon the minutes. the agenda for each meeting shall close at 12:00 o'clock noon on the day before the meeting, and immediately thereafter the Clerk shall prepare a typed agenda and send a copy of same to each member of the Board of Commissioners together with any supporting data and recommendations of the City Manager. No business not on the agenda will be considered if objected to by any member present. No ordinance will be considered if objected to by any member present who has not been furnished a copy of same at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting." 204 SECTION 2. All ordinances.and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extnet of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
