CORNELISON ESTATE, TO COMPROMISE AND SETTLE THE ENTIRE CLAIM OF SAID ESTATE AGAINST THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN THE TOTAL SUM OF $9,000.00, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PAY SAID SUM, AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO OBTAIN A RELEASE.AND RECEIPT THEREFOR BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of Charles A. Williams, Counsel for Rex P. Cornelison Estate, offering to compromise and settle the entire claim of the Rex P. Cornelison Estate against the City of Paducah for the total sum of $9,000.00, be accepted, and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to make payment in the sum of $9,000.00 to M. O. DeJarnatt, Executor of the Last Will and Testament of Rex P. Cornelison, deceased, and Charles A. Williams Attorney for Rex P. Cornelison Estate, and.that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, directed to obtain a general release for the claim of Rex P. Cornelison Estate against the City of Paducah and to obtain a receipt for the payment of the said $9,000.00 upon delivery of the payment. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon irs final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
