AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES, INC. FOR THE
SALE TO THE CITY OF FOUR TRUCKS, THREE FOR USE IN THE STREET DEPARTMENT
AND ONE FOR USE IN THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the bid of Allan Rhodes, Inc. in the amount of
$20,419.06, less discount of $5,069.06 and less trade-in for three
International dump trucks and one Chevrolet dump truck, making the
total net price of $13,940.13, for the sale to the City of three dump
trucks for use in the Street Department,and one cab and chassis for
use in the Parks and Recreation Department, having the exact specifications
as set forth in the Resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
said City on May 2, 1967, authorizing the advertisement for bids, be
accepted.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
-and directed to enter into a purchase contract with Allan Rhodes, Inc.
on behalf of the City of Paducah, for the purchase of the items set forth
in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be
in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
