HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 181, No Ordinance Number181 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 AND ADDING SECTION 4-A TO AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF A DEPARTMENT OF FISCAL AFFAIRS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE POSITION OF A DIRECTOR THEREOF", WHICH ORDINANCE WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON MAY 9, 1967 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 3 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which ordinance was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on May 9, 1967, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 3. Said Department will absorb all of the functions and personnel of the present office of the City Assessor and Treasurer's Office (also known as Department of Finance), but such position so absorbed will remain identica lly the same as to the status, duties and rates of pay. The Director of Fiscal Affairs will also serve as Senior Treasurer and Senior Finance Director and is authorized to carry out all of the duties prescribed to the position Of City Treasurer (also L known as Finance Director). The City Treasurer (also known as Finance Director, shall work under the direction of and be responsible to the Director of Fiscal Affairs. The Director of Fiscal Affairs in and for his capacity as Director and as Senior Treasurer and Senior Finance Director shall execute a bond with good corporate surety, acceptable to the City, in the sum of $25,000.00 for the faithful performance of all his duties." SECTION 2. That the said ordinance be further amended by adding the following section: "SECTION 4-A. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed." SECTION 3.
