BASKIN FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, KNOWN AS LOT 81 IN BLOCK 11 OF ADDITION OR DIVISION "A" OF SAID CITY, SITUATED ON SOUTH SECOND STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED OF CONVEYANCE FOR SAME ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Nathaniel Baskin and Elliott A. Baskin in the amount of $6,500.00 for the purchase of certain property owned by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be accepted, said property being bounded and described as follows, to -wit: Being Lot No. 81 in Block No. 11 of Addition or Division "A" of the City of Paducah, and beginning at a point on the west line of Second Street 115.5 feet north of Washington Street; thence northerly with said line of Second Street 57.75 feet to the south line of an alley; thence westerly with said line of said alley and parallel with Washington Street 173.25 feet; thence southerly and parallel with Second Street 57.75 feet; thence easterly and parallel with Washington Street 173.25 feet to the point of beginning. Being the same land conveyed to the City of Paducah by Mary Kearny, a widow, by deed dated June 28, 1888 and of record in Deed Book 37, page 199 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon receipt of the sum of $6,500.00 from Nathaniel Baskin and Elliott A. Baskin by the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a deed to said Nathaniel Baskin and Elliott A. Baskin, conveying the property of the City described in Section 1 hereof, with only such warranty as permitted by law and subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey of same. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
