HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 170, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, A QUITCLAIM DEED TO PADUCAH JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, CONVEYING ALL RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST OF SAID CITY IN AND TO A TRACT OF LAND AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF JACKSON STREET AND LONE OAK ROAD IN SAID CITY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paducah, a quit -claim deed to Paducah Junior Chamber of Commerce, its successors and assigns, conveying all right, title and interest of said City in and to a tract of land at the southeast corner of the intersection of Jackson Street and Lone Oak Road in said City, described as follows: Lying and being on the south side of the Bradshaw gravel road and the east side of the Paducah and Clinton gravel road, beginning at a stake at the intersection of said Bradshaw Road with the Paducah and Clinton gravel roads; running thence south three degrees 45 minutes east 7.5 poles to a post corner, thence north 48 degrees east 16.84 poles to a stake; thence north 32 degrees east 2 1/3 poles to a stake; thence south 70 degrees west 15.82 poles, and along the south side of the said Brad- shaw gravel road, to the beginning, containing 60 poles by actual survey made by F. H. Overby on the 16th day of December, 1920. Said lots or piece of land fronts the Paducah and Clinton Road 7.5 poles. A plat of said herein conveyed lot or parcel of land is recorded in Plat Book "A", page 169, McCracken County Court Clerk's office. Being the same property in which an undivided one-half interest was conveyed to the party of the first part and an undivided one-half interest was conveyed to party of the second part by deed dated November 13, 1939 0£ record in Deed Book 202, page 459, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. SECTION 2. The deed of conveyance authorized by Section 1 hereof shall be a deed of quit claim, shall not contain any warranty as to title, and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey of said property described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION'3. The execution of a quit -claim deed to the Paducah Junior Chamber of Commerce for the above described tract of land shall be con- ditioned upon receipt by the City of a permanent and a temporary easement for the construction of a sewer line across the tract to be conveyed hereby and an adjoining tract of land owned by the Paducah Junior Chamber of Commerce.
