ADJACENT TO THE NORTHWEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF.THE TERRITORY PROPOSED
TO BE ANNEXED, AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF SUCH
ANNEXATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain land lying
adjacent to the northwest corporate limits, more partocularly described
hereinafter, be annexed to the city of Paducah, and that said property
so proposed to be annexed is accurately described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the northeasterly right of way line
of the P and I R. R. Co. is intersected by the present city
limits line and the north property line of Minnich Avenue if
extended; thence westerly with said extension and with the north
right of way line of Minnich Avenue and the present city limits
line 895 feet more or less to a point 160 feet west of the west
property line of Lillian Avenue as located between Phillips Avenue
and Minnich Avenue; thence southerly continuing with the present
city limits line 160 feet west of and parallel with Lillian
Avenue 529 feet more or less to the north property line of
Phillips Avenue; thence westerly continuing with the present city
limits line and the north property line of Phillips Avenue 204.5
feet; thence northerly and with the present city limits 259.3 feet;
thence westerly and with the present city limits 50 feet; thence
northerly and with the present city limits 213.95 feet to the south
property line of Minnich Avenue; thence westerly with the present
city limits and the south property line of Minnich Avenue 200 feet;'
thence at right angles northerly 54.5 feet to the north property
line of Minnich Avenue; thence easterly with the north property
line of Minnich Avenue 173 feet more or less to a point in the
west property line of property owned by Lorean G. Fisher, Deed Book
469, page 448, August 6, 1965, said point being 440.75 feet west
of Lillian Avenue; thence northerly with Lorean G. Fisher's west
property line 654.02 feet to Fisher's northwest corner; thence
northeasterly with the northerly line of Lorean Fisher, Clara Roof,
A. M. Pritchett and Emma Gilbert and continuing with said line
extended across the P & I R.R. right of way a distance of 861
feet more or less to the northeasterly right of way line of the
P & I R.R. being also the present city limits line; thence
southeasterly with the P & I R.R. right of way and the present
city limits line to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by annexing the property described
in Section 1 hereof is desirable and necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in the Sun -Democrat,
a newspaper in Paducah, Kentucky, as provided for and required by
Section 424.130 of Kentucky Revised Statutes, and the extension of the
City Limits as herein proposed shall not become effective until the
adoption of an ordinance ammexing the property described in Section 1
hereof, and such ordinance shall not be adopted until after publication

of this ordinance as provided herein and until the expiration of a
period of thirty days after the enactment'of this ordinance.
Notice is hereby given under the provisions of Section 81.17.0
of Kentucky Revised Statutes that pne or more residents or freeholders
of the herein territory proposed to be annexed may, within thirty days
after the enactment of this ordinance, file a petition in the Circuit
Court of McCracken County, Kentucky, setting forth the reason why said
territory, or any part of it, shall not be annexed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
