HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 1140, Ordinance Number 69-11-2641140] `/ n I ORDINANCE NO. 69-11-264 a AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE ZONING OF PROPERTY IN THE MAPLEWOOD TERRACE AREA, AND ZONING SAID PROPERTY BE IT ORDAINED'BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on November 5, 1969, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED ZONING OF PROPERTY IN THE MAPLEWOOD TERRACE AREA", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classifications proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the following described property, which was annexed by the City of Paducah on October 6, 1969, be, and the same is hereby, zoned as follows: Tract 1, M-1 General Industrial Zone Beginning at a point on the north right-of-way line of the earth levee floodwall, said point being at the existing city limits boundary in the vicinity of what would be the 2200 block on North 6th Street, if extended; thence in a westerly direction and following the north right-of-way line of said floodwall to a point where said floodwall would intersect with a point 10.04 feet east of and parallel with the west property Line of Helen Street, if extended; thence southerly along a line 10.04 feet east of and parallel with the west line of Helen Street, if extended 630 feet, more or less, to a point 150 feet south of 8th Street; thence westerly and parallel with 8th Street 50 feet; thence in a southerly direction and parallel with and 400 feet from the west line of Estelle Street 726.28 feet to the north property line of St. Louis Avenue; thence westerly with the north property line of St. Louis Avenue, and St. Louis Avenue, if extended, 514 feet more or less, to the southwest corner of a lot belonging to C. A. Rottgering and wife, by deed recorded in Deed Book 463, page 565, McCracken County Court Clerk's office; thence in a northerly direction with Rottgering's west line 196,feet, more or less, to the northerly line of property belonging to King -Woodall, Inc. by deed recorded in Deed Book 480, page 273, McCracken County Court Clerk's office; thence in a westerly direction with King -Woodall, Inc. north line 295 feet, more or less, to the west right-of-way line of the floodwall; thence in a southerly direction with said west line of the floodwall 752 feet to the north right-of-way Line of the C. St. L & N. O. Railroad Co.; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line, if extended, of an alley lying between and running parallel with Elmwood Avenue and Maple Avenue and continuing with the center line of said alley to its intersection with the center line of Helen Street; thence in a 4 04, 1141 northerly direction along and with the center line of Helen Street to its intersection with the center line of Elmwood Avenue; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line of Elmwood Avenue to its intersection with the center line of Julia Street; thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line of Julia Street to its intersection with the center line of an alley lying between and running parallel with Maple Avenue and Cairo Road; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line of said alley to its intersection with the previously existing city limit boundary; thence in a northerly direction along and with the previously existing city limit boundary to the point of beginning. Tract 2. B-4 Commercial Zone Beginning at the point of intersection of the present city limit boundary with the north right-of-way line of the C. St. L. and N. O. Railroad Company; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line, if extended, of an alley lying between and running parallel with Elmwood Avenue and Maple Avenue and continuing with the center line of said alley to its point of intersection with the center line of Helen Street; thence in a northerly direction along and with the center line of Helen Street to its intersection with the center line of Elmwood Avenue; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line of Elmwood Avenue to its intersection with the center line of Julia Street; thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line of Julia Street to its intersection with the center line of an alley lying between and running parallel with Maple Avenue and Cairo Road; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line of said alley to its intersection with the previously existing city limit boundary; thence in a southerly direction along and with the previously existing city limit boundary to the point at which said previously existing city limit boundary turns west; thence in a westerly direction along and with the previously existing city limit boundary to the point of intersection of said previously existing city limit boundary, if extended, with the north right-of-way line of said floodwall; thence in a northerly direction along and with the north right-of-way line of said floodwall to the point of beginning. Tract 3. R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone Beginning at a point in the north right-of-way line of the earth levee floodwall where said line intersects the previously existing city limit boundary, the north line of Noble Park; thence in an easterly direction along and with the previously existing city limit boundary to the point where same turns north at a point 149 feet, more or less, west of Reed Avenue; thence con- tinuing with the previously existing city limit boundary in a northerly direction to the point where same turns east; thence in a westerly direction and along the said previously existing city limit east line, if extended in a westerly direction, to the point of intersection of said line with the north right-of-way line of said floodwall; thence in a southerly direction along and with said floodwall right-of-way to the point of beginning. Tract 4. R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone Beginning at the point of intersection of the north right -of --way line of the earth levee floodwall with the present city limit boundary which lies along the north property line of Dixie Development of Paducah, Inc.; thence in an easterly direction along and with said north property line of Dixie Development of Paducah, .Inc, to the point of intersection of said line with the previously existing city limit boundary running north and south; thence in a northerly direction along said previously existing city limit boundary to its point of intersection with the north right-of-way line of said floodwall; thence in a southerly direction along and with said floodwall right-of- way line to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section,'paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
