HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 1110, No Resolution NumberA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH MUNICIPAL HOUSING COMMISSION AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission (herein called the "Local Authority") and the City of Paducah, Kentucky (herein called the "Municipality") desire to enter into an amendment to its cooperation agreement in connection with the development of low -rent housing units pursuant to the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Local Authority and the Municipality enter into an amendment to its cooperation agreement, and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the same on behalf of the Municipality, and the City Clerk to attest the same and affix thereto the seal of the Municipality, said amendment being in substantially the following form: "AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO COOPERATION AGREEMENT DATED SEPTEMBER 7, 1962, BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH MUNICIPAL HOUSING COMMISSION THIS AMENDATORY AGREEMENT made and entered into on this day of 1969, by and between the CITY OF PADUCAH MUNICIPAL HOUSING COMMISSION (herein called "Local Authority") and the CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, (herein called "Municipality") W I T N E S S E T H: WHEREAS, the Municipality and the Local Authority have entered into a certain cooperation agreement dated September 7, 1962 and amended July 6, 1965, providing for aid and cooperation in respect to low -rent housing projects developed or to be developed and operated by the Local Authority with the financial assistance of the United States of America; and WHEREAS, the Local Authority and the Municipality desire to modify and amend the aforesaid cooperation agreement to cover additional low -rent housing units; NOW, THEREFORE,the Local Authority and the Municipality do agree that the number of units set forth in Section 2 of the aforesaid cooperation agreement be increased by 201 and that the figure "1049" be changed to read "1250". IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Municipality and the Local Authority have respectively signed this amendatory agreement and caused their seals. to be affixed and attested as of the day and year fir st above written." SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
