HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 1093, Ordinance Number 69-9-245109 ORDINANCE NO. 69-9-245 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AS CO-SPONSOR WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION AND THE COUNTY OF MCCRACKEN, AN AMENDMENT TO GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT NO. 9-15-011-C907 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as co-sponsor with the United States of America Federal Aviation Administration and the County of McCracken, Kentucky, an amendment No. 1 to Grant Agreement for Project No. 9-15-011-C907 (Contract No. FA -EA -907), which amendment is to be effective September 2, 1969, and is in words and figures as follows: WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (hereinafter referred to as the "FAA") has determined it to be in the interest of the United States that the Grant Agreement between the FAA, acting for and on behalf of the United States, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky and the County of McCracken, Kentucky (hereinafter referred to as the "Co -Sponsor"), accepted by said Co -Sponsor on the 13th day of February, 1969, be amended as hereinafter provided. NOW, THEREFORE, WITNESSETH: That in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the parties hereto, the FAA on behalf of the United States, on the one part, and the Co-sponsors, on the other part, do hereby mutually agree that the, said Grant Agreement be and the same hereby is amended as follows: 1. By deleting the project description as it now appears in the Grant Agreement and substituting in lieu thereof the following: Overlay, widen (from 50' to 60') mark and light existing taxiways to Runway 4-22. Construct, mark and light portion of parallel taxiway from terminal area to Runway 4 (2600' x 60'). Replace runway lighting regulator and associated vault equipment. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment to thesaid Grant Agreement to be duly executed. SECTION 2. The ordinance authorizing the original contract, which ordinance was dated February 11, 1969, is, to the extent of its conflict with this amendment, hereby repealed and amended to comply with this ordinance. SECTION 3.
