HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 1066, Ordinance Number 69-8-2341066 / ORDINANCE NO. 69-8-234 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE ALLEY SITUATED IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY THIRD STREET, KENTUCKY AVENUE, FOURTH STREET AND WASHINGTON STREET BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of the alley situated in the block bounded by Third Street, Kentucky Avenue, Fourth Street and Wa shington Street, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the east side of 4th Street 100 feet south of Kentucky Avenue and thence easterly towards 3rd Street and parallel with Kentucky Avenue 100 feet; thence southerly and parallel with 4th Street 48.25 feet; thence easterly toward 3rd Street and parallel with Kentucky Avenue 73.25 feet; thence , southerly and parallel with 4th Street 25 feet to the line of Rottgering; thence westerly with the Rottgering line and parallel with Kentucky Avenue 83.25 feet; thence northerly and parallel with 4th Street 63 feet; thence westerly and parallel with Kentucky Avenue 90 feet to the east line of 4th Street; thence northerly with the east line of 4th Street 10.25 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KMS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley described in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
