HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 16, Page 1020, Ordinance Number 69-6-208ORDINANCE NO. 69-6-208 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WEST KENTUCKY PAVING COMPANY FOR RESURFACING BROADWAY FROM THE EAST LINE OF FIRST STREET TO THE WEST LINE OF THIRTEENTH STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, INCLUDING THE RAISING AND RESETTING OF MANHOLES, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of West Kentucky Paving Company for resurfacing Broadway from the east line of First Street to the West line of Thirteenth Street in the City of Paducah, including the raising and resetting of manholes, which bid was as follows: Unit price on asphalt $6.80 per ton; unit price on RS -1, $0.15 per gallon; and unit price for manholes resetting $55.00 each, said bid having substantiallythe specifications set out in the resolution adopted on May 6, 1969 by the Board of Commissioners of the City, authorizing advertisement for bids for such resurfacing and contained in the bid of West Kentucky Paving Company dated May 19, 1969. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract for the resurfacing of Broadway as set out in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced 'and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
